Technical Project Manager - New Jersey Data Centers

CoreWeave is seeking a Technical Project Manager to oversee the build-out and fit-out of their AI-focused data centers. The role involves managing large-scale infrastructure projects from planning to operations, ensuring timely and within-scope delivery of hardware, cabling, and network systems. Responsibilities include stakeholder management, resource allocation, risk management, scheduling, budgeting, quality assurance, and technical oversight, with up to 60% travel required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the full lifecycle of multiple simultaneous data center deployment projects, including design, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover to operations.
  2. Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
  3. Effectively manage and allocate resources (teams, tools, budget), ensuring that all project phases are adequately staffed and equipped to meet fast-paced timelines.
  4. Identify potential project risks, create mitigation strategies, and proactively address issues to minimize disruptions to project timelines.
  5. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans, ensuring projects are delivered within agreed contractual constraints.

Skills

Required

  • 6+ years of demonstrated experience in data center deployment, infrastructure project implementation, or technical project management within a data center environment.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage complex technical projects from initiation to completion, utilizing a strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of data center infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling systems.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with data center best practices and industry standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, coupled with strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional ability to analyze complex technical issues, troubleshoot problems, and propose innovative solutions, supported by strong decision-making and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., TIA-942, Uptime Institute, ASHRAE), data center compliance requirements, security protocols, and risk management practices.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, adapt to changing requirements, and perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 60% to data center locations to support project execution, sometimes on short notice.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

  • Experience with High-Performance Computing (HPC) or AI-specific infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with liquid-to-chip cooling technologies and advanced data center redundancy protocols.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, CDCP, CDCS, or similar) are a plus.
