Technical Project Manager - Spark

This role is for a Technical Project Manager at Crusoe, an AI infrastructure company. The role focuses on managing the end-to-end lifecycle of 'Spark' modular data center deployments, from project approval to customer availability. Responsibilities include managing schedules, budgets, resource allocation, site readiness, risk mitigation, cross-functional orchestration, and process standardization. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in complex infrastructure project management, technical acumen across various engineering disciplines, and strong communication and organizational skills.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage the project schedule, budget, and resource allocation for one or more Spark deployment projects.
  2. Coordinate with Crusoe and 3rd party subject matter experts on site preparation, permitting, and utility interconnection timelines to ensure sites are ready the moment Sparks arrive.
  3. Proactively identify bottlenecks in procurement, construction, networking, and power readiness. Always have a "Plan B" to maintain velocity.
  4. Serve as the air traffic controller between Real Estate, Finance, Manufacturing Planning, Cloud Product & Procurement, Site Design & Engineering, Construction, and the Spark Business Unit on a project basis.
  5. Contribute to the creation and refinement of the "Spark Deployment Playbook," standardizing how we handle fast, predictable deployment cadences from end-to-end.

Skills

Required

  • 5-7+ years of experience managing complex, capital-intensive infrastructure or first-of-a-kind projects
  • experience with distributed generation energy or multi-site repeatable deployment projects
  • budgets exceeding $100M
  • Demonstrated expertise in scheduling software
  • Evidence of technical breadth and curiosity to manage engineering requirements, evaluate trade-offs, connect the dots, and surface risks across electrical, mechanical, civil, cloud, and network engineering.
  • Experience managing and coordinating across multiple third-party service providers whose deliverables impact the critical path.
