The Technical Regulatory Compliance Engineering Specialist is a principal contributor on a design or CPPD team responsible for the safety and compliance aspects of a product or process. This role involves understanding and developing international standards, engaging in regulatory policy advocacy, training internal teams, conducting safety assessments, and auditing hardware and software. The position supports enterprise regulatory compliance and safety teams, contributes to product development best practices, and manages risks associated with complex technical engineering problems. Experience with embedded control systems and risk assessment methodologies for machinery is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. This position is focused on providing Control System Functional Safety and Machinery Product Safety Risk Assessment support.
  2. Contributes to Enterprise regulatory compliance and safety teams, as well as committees or groups outside of the company.
  3. Must demonstrate the ability to develop and perform on a complex project or program.
  4. Direct work with other units, suppliers, customers, and teams which requires the incumbent to demonstrate skills in negotiation, building consensus, and achieving compromise.
  5. Keeping up to date with regulatory compliance requirements and technology and developing increased technical breadth and/or depth.
