Technical Sales Specialist

Autodesk is seeking a Technical Sales Specialist to drive adoption and expansion of their core and mature solutions across various customer segments. This role involves advising sellers and customers on technical strategies, leading discovery sessions and demonstrations, designing and validating solution architectures, and supporting commercial expansion. The specialist will also be responsible for regional enablement and mentorship, focusing on repeatable approaches and scalable impact within the AEC industry.

What you'd actually do

  1. Advise sellers and customers on solution approach, positioning, and adoption considerations
  2. Lead complex discovery sessions and demonstrations across priority opportunities
  3. Apply and refine scalable solution architectures and validation plans
  4. Identify cross sell and upsell opportunities based on discovery insights and adoption patterns
  5. Drive adoption of regional playbooks and reuse of technical assets

Skills

Required

  • 5–8 years of experience in technical sales, sales engineering, solutions consulting, or a comparable customer facing technical role
  • Deep hands-on experience with Revit and Navisworks workflows across Architecture, Construction, and multidisciplinary coordination
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Platform Services (APS/Forge) and API-driven workflows
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (Docs, Build, BIM Collaborate Pro)
  • Strong AEC domain knowledge across relevant technical workflows and use cases
  • Experience leading complex customer discovery and delivering scalable, repeatable demonstrations
  • Proven ability to design, validate, and refine solution architectures aligned to business outcomes

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with practical application of common BIM standards
  • Experience supporting partner led or hybrid sales motions at scale
  • Familiarity with Autodesk solutions, platforms, or adjacent design, engineering, or construction domains
  • Experience mentoring or coaching junior technical specialists
  • Demonstrated success driving enablement through playbooks, reusable assets.
  • Experience collaborating with Product, PMM, or Engineering to provide structured feedback
  • Exposure to BIM-GIS convergence and infrastructure coordination workflows
