This role is for a Technical Scrum Master at Merck, focusing on Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) within the Treasury product and finance value team. The primary responsibilities include orchestrating Treasury applications, managing interfaces and capabilities, resolving production issues, supporting release management, and leading Agile ceremonies. The role requires experience in IT program and product management, Agile practices, and strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

What you'd actually do

  1. As an orchestrator on the GLM team, you will enhance our Treasury applications by introducing and developing new interfaces and capabilities, while ensuring production issues are resolved accurately and on time
  2. You will deepen your expertise in Treasury GLM business processes to maximize the impact of your contributions
  3. You will support the product manager and technical lead with release management and assist in the day‑to‑day oversight of the backlog and production issues
  4. You will lead key Agile ceremonies—including release planning, retrospectives, and daily stand‑ups—to maintain team alignment and drive consistent delivery.
  5. You will help define key priorities and work closely with the product manager in weekly refinement sessions to ensure the team consistently focuses on the highest‑value initiatives

Skills

Required

  • University degree, preferably in Computer Science or Business Administration.
  • 3+ years managing IT programs and products as a product/program manager or orchestrator.
  • Overall 5+ years of overall IT experience.
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of ownership and accountability, ensuring tasks are driven to completion through proactive and resourceful approaches.
  • Experience in modern practices including JIRA, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOPS, Agile principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with all key stakeholders through daily activities such as requirement gathering
  • Strong leadership skills to drive key priorities, commitments and achieve results through interpersonal relationships.
