Stripe is seeking a Technical Solutions Engineer to support developer users, champion developer experience, and help developers integrate with Stripe's financial infrastructure. Responsibilities include explaining technical concepts, debugging integrations, producing guides, identifying friction points, and developing internal support tooling. The role requires strong programming fundamentals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously.

What you'd actually do

  1. Communicate with a number of external developers and aid them in building their applications against Stripe’s infrastructure in a number of programming languages (including Java, Python, Ruby, PHP, Go, NodeJS, .NET, ReactJS, React Native, Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, and Java for Android).
  2. Unblock external developers with their thorniest integration challenges through a variety of support channels including email, ticketing software, internal issue trackers, community platforms (like StackOverflow), and real-time chat software (like Slack and Discord)
  3. Develop and maintain internal and external documentation, examples, integration demos, and code-snippets that demonstrate usage patterns of the Stripe infrastructure.
  4. Identify points of friction developers encounter and collaborate with engineering teams to make Stripe products better. Participate in a number of extended engineering teams’ regular planning sessions, design reviews, and development meetings.
  5. Develop and maintain a suite of internal support tooling for TSE and Stripe Support more broadly e.g. a retrieval augmented generation LLM-based Copilot tool or the Invoice Explainer Admin tool.
  6. Act as a developer advocate and educational resource internal to the organization by regularly assembling training for non-developers internal to the organization and responding in real-time to product integration questions.
