Technical Sourcing Manager, Dram and Ssd

Meta Meta · Big Tech · Fremont, CA

Meta's Infrastructure Hardware team is seeking a Technical Sourcing Manager to lead strategic sourcing for DRAM and SSD memory technologies that power Meta's global data center fleet. The role involves defining and executing long-term supply strategies, partnering with silicon vendors and internal engineering teams, and operating at the intersection of semiconductor technology roadmaps and large-scale sourcing strategy.

What you'd actually do

  1. Define and co-own the multi-year sourcing strategy for DRAM and NAND/SSD components across Meta's data center infrastructure, including capacity planning, supplier portfolio management, and technology transitions
  2. Develop deep technical fluency in DRAM and NAND technology roadmaps (e.g., DDR5, HBM, QLC/TLC NAND, NVMe SSD) to evaluate supplier offerings and align sourcing decisions with infrastructure engineering requirements
  3. Partner with hardware engineering, capacity planning, and data center operations teams to translate infrastructure memory requirements into actionable sourcing plans
  4. Conduct a total cost of ownership analysis and should-cost modeling for memory components to inform negotiation strategies and investment decisions
  5. Lead component qualifications for DRAM and SSD, in partnership with hardware component quality and design engineering teams
