Technical Support Engineer

Salesforce is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to assist third-party developers with troubleshooting integrations with Salesforce APIs, Apex, and other developer products. The role involves debugging, writing sample code, creating knowledge base materials, and resolving customer service issues. The engineer will also identify upsell opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction.

What you'd actually do

  1. Assist third-party developers to troubleshoot their integration with [salesforce.com](http://salesforce.com/) APIs, Apex, Visualforce and implementation of other [salesforce.com](http://salesforce.com/) developer products. This will involve debugging, troubleshooting, and taking responsibility to see that the issue is fully resolved.
  2. Write sample code, client libraries, and contribute to Open Source projects.
  3. Create knowledge base materials dedicated towards operational efficiency while also empowering and enabling the developer community
  4. Resolve customer service issues and skillfully manage complex customer service problems.
  5. Manage customers' expectations and experience in a way that results in high customer satisfaction.

  • Solid understanding of Internet technologies: firewalls, web servers, web proxy servers, etc.
  • Understanding of database concepts and data management (RDBMS) and SQL

Nice to have

  • Experience as a committer in an Open Source project is a plus.
