Technical Support Representative for Caterpillar's mining products, acting as a liaison between dealers and customers to manage product performance and identify improvement opportunities.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work closely with dealers and customers to identify Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) opportunities for the ongoing improvement of our products.
  2. Assist Product Groups with prioritization of CPI’s by providing required commercial impact statements, Voice of Customer and Dealer feedback.
  3. Be Caterpillar’s lead for Product Problem Management discussions with dealers and customers.
  4. Act as a key resource to support execution of product performance improvement initiatives at target sites.
  5. Manage service and commercial goodwill support administration across allocated dealers and customers.

Skills

Required

  • tertiary qualification within a relevant field, or equivalent experience
  • prior experience in a field position
  • ability to work independently
  • communicate effectively with others in the work group, dealer personnel and customers
  • proven ability to communicate and negotiate across all levels of the organisation
  • must be able to work collaboratively with Dealers, Caterpillar and the customer to meet deliverables
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • willing and able to travel both internationally and locally

Nice to have

  • previous experience working with a dealer network
  • exposure to Six Sigma principles
