Palantir is seeking a Technical Writer and Editor to create, maintain, and improve documentation for their data-driven decision-making software. This role involves understanding user needs, partnering with product development teams, and managing documentation projects to ensure users can effectively utilize Palantir's products. The position requires strong writing and editing skills, experience in technical writing or software development, and comfort working with complex technical subjects.

What you'd actually do

  1. Understand and communicate the value proposition of Palantir’s products.
  2. Create user documentation in partnership with developers and business teams.
  3. Review and edit documentation to maintain a high level of quality.
  4. Identify, triage, and resolve needs in documentation.
  5. Maintain style guides and best practices for writing, improving, and publishing documentation.

Skills

Required

  • Outstanding writing and editing skills
  • Technical writing experience
  • Software development experience
  • Ability to translate complex technical subjects into clear, concise prose
  • Ability to prioritize, adapt, and operate in unstructured environments
  • Experience working with engineering teams

Nice to have

  • Experience with programming, scripting, or statistical packages
  • Previous work in software engineering or data science is a plus
