Technical Writer Intern

Unity is seeking university students for an 11-month paid Technical Writer Intern position. The role involves working with developers to create user documentation for Unity features, improving existing content based on user feedback, and explaining technical concepts. Requires current undergraduate study for a placement year, excellent communication skills, and analytical abilities.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work closely with Unity's development teams across the world
  2. Research and document new features and workflows in time for release
  3. Empathize with users and provide them with information to help them achieve their goals
  4. Understand problems that result from poor documentation, so you can improve our existing content and help users
  5. Work with writers and editors to ensure your documentation is as clear, concise, accurate, and usable as possible

Skills

Required

  • currently studying at an undergraduate level and looking for a placement year
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Great computing skills
  • A skill for analysing problems into their component parts
  • Ability to manage your time well and prioritise effectively
