This role supports laboratory and administrative operations for process development activities in advanced manufacturing for various drug modalities at the Lilly Medicine Foundry. Responsibilities include preparing equipment, running experiments, performing basic analyses, maintaining lab notebooks, and contributing to troubleshooting.

What you'd actually do

  1. Comply with all health, safety and environmental requirements and procedures.
  2. Follow detailed instructions to prepare equipment sets and run experiments including initial set-up, sampling and performing basic at-line analyses.
  3. Order, stage and dispensing materials followed by preparation of buffers and solutions for experiments.
  4. Decontaminate or inactivate equipment before disassembly, cleaning or disposal.
  5. Perform basic maintenance of process equipment and supporting infrastructure.

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in a laboratory environment
  • Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice to have

  • Working knowledge of synthetic chemistry or biologic unit operations.
  • Highly motivated, able to learn rapidly, and demonstrates strong attention to detail.
  • Experience creating laboratory SOPs and work instructions and process execution according to those records.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple activities and manage ambiguity.
  • Experience using analytical techniques, for example, HPLC/UPLC etc.
  • Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical report writing, presentations, and effective collaboration across teams
  • Problem-solving skills: Proven ability to analyze data, perform root cause analysis, and resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across disciplines and levels with other PTE scientists, process engineers, analytical chemists, safety and quality representatives.
