Technology Manager responsible for engineering, development, and operations of enterprise-wide platform services (Azure, Databricks, Synapse) to support Data & Analytics initiatives. This role involves designing and implementing scalable data pipelines, leading architecture and design efforts, collaborating with service owners on roadmaps, and ensuring service SLAs. The position also focuses on implementing Databricks, Platform, and Intelligent Automation capabilities to enhance service efficiency and user experience, and developing operational dashboards.

What you'd actually do

  1. Responsible for the engineering, development and operations of enterprise-wide platform services (specifically Azure VPCx, Databricks, Synapse and others, both on-premises and in the cloud), in support of Data & Analytics initiatives.
  2. In partnership with data solutions teams, design and implement scalable, extensible, and highly available data pipelines on various data sets that will enable impactful insights and drive innovation for Johnson & Johnson.
  3. Lead architecture, design, and implementation effort that is scalable to the region, sector, and franchise level.
  4. Collaborate with respective platform service owners to define service road maps, drive innovation, and ensure service SLAs for our business partners are met.
  5. Implement Databricks, Platform, and Intelligent Automation capabilities to improve owned service efficiency, effectiveness, and user experience.

Skills

Required

  • Cloud platforms primarily Microsoft Azure
  • Databricks data management platform and SQL
  • Performing all phases of system analysis and design (i.e., planning, developing, testing, and implementing IT system) and coordinating custom development, unit and integration testing and configuration of systems
  • Scripting languages Bash, Shell, and Python for managing applications and platforms
  • Designing, building and automating solutions and frameworks for big data migration
  • Designing, building, and testing Python and Java programs and working on tools for application automation
  • Building and automating code deployment
  • Improving performance of data queries by optimizing memory usage, designing and developing functions using object-oriented programming languages including Python, Java to optimize the data fetch
