Boeing is seeking a Technology Release Engineer to lead technology release efforts for advanced defense platforms. This role involves interfacing with government leadership, export policy offices, and customers to define product capabilities, shape policy, and ensure compliance with release requirements. Responsibilities include understanding advanced technology capabilities, protecting them, and obtaining government approval. The role also supports requirements understanding, implementation solutions, and verification for release and export, working with chief engineers and architects to define platform architectures and advance anti-tamper solutions for critical military information and technology. The engineer will support verification of requirements and design across subsystems and will be accountable to program leads.

What you'd actually do

  1. help lead the BDS Technology Release team
  2. understand their advanced technology capabilities and the ability of our teams to protect them and will engage with the government Tri-Service Committee and other approval authorities to define and obtain approval for their requirements
  3. aid the programs in requirements understanding, implementation solutions, and verification for release and export
  4. Work with platform chief engineers, chief architects, and team leads to define platform architectures that will allow the fielding and sales of the most advanced tactical capabilities
  5. Advance the design, development and maintenance of hardware and software-based anti-tamper solutions for the protection of critical military information and technology

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 12 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications
  • Experience in design and/or integration of systems or subsystems on military platforms

Nice to have

  • Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Experience in the anti-tamper or product security domains
  • Ability to demonstrate prior technical leadership
  • Experience in government acquisition of military systems and/or government policy decisions
