Technology Sales Director for Oracle's Government, Defense & Intelligence team, focusing on U.S. Federal Civilian Agencies. The role involves developing and executing sales strategy, leading and coaching a team of technology software sales professionals, strengthening executive customer relationships, and ensuring operational excellence. Requires 7+ years of technology sales management experience, preferably in Software infrastructure/platform/enterprise tech, and 5+ years with U.S. Civilian federal government clients, with a proven ability to drive performance in complex, regulated environments. Familiarity with Federal procurement processes and compliance is essential. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in-office work in the greater Washington, DC area.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets for Oracle Technology Software solutions within the Civilian sector, identifying key opportunities and aligning Oracle offerings with agency priorities.
  2. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technology Software sales professionals, establishing a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and sales excellence.
  3. Drive disciplined pipeline management, forecast accuracy, territory planning, and execution to consistently achieve and exceed business objectives.
  4. Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior Civilian sector decision-makers, contracting officers, and technical stakeholders to understand mission requirements and technology modernization goals.
  5. Partner with solution engineering, architecture, and product teams to position Oracle Software and Technology Cloud solutions that address security, compliance, performance, and mission-critical requirements.

Skills

Required

  • 7+ years of technology sales management experience, preferably focused on Software infrastructure, platform, or enterprise technology solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience working with U.S. Civilian federal government clients, preferably within Civilian or related sectors.
  • Demonstrated success leading, coaching, and developing high-performing sales teams in complex, regulated environments.
  • Proven ability to build and execute strategic sales plans while meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong track record of driving team performance, talent development, and business growth within highly regulated markets.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Deep understanding of Federal procurement processes, contract vehicles (e.g., GSA schedules, IDIQs), and compliance requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of software licensing, cloud infrastructure, cloud platforms, enterprise technology solutions, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic thinker, results-driven, adaptable to changing priorities, and comfortable navigating complex organizational structures.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Software, Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle Technology offerings preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance if required (e.g., Secret or Top Secret).
