This role is for a Technology Sr. Manager, Finance ERP (P2P) at Johnson & Johnson, focusing on product ownership for Procure-to-Pay (P2P) solutions. The position involves partnering with Finance, Procurement, and IT stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, compliant, and high-impact finance applications. Key responsibilities include owning the product strategy and roadmap, leading the implementation of core finance P2R processes and systems (like SAP S/4, e-Invoicing), driving enhancements, integrations, and process improvements, and managing application performance, risk, controls, and compliance. The role also involves providing thought leadership on emerging finance technologies, analytics, and automation opportunities.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for Finance Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, ensuring alignment with business priorities and enterprise IT strategy.
  2. Partner with Finance and P2P leaders to gather, prioritize, and translate business requirements into clear functional and technical solutions.
  3. Lead the planning, design, implementation and transformation of core finance P2R processes and systems such as SAP S/4, e-Invoicing, OpenText VIM, Kyriba, and Concur Time and Expense.
  4. Lead delivery of enhancements, integrations, and process improvements across finance applications, ensuring quality, scalability, and compliance while meeting critical Day 1 and TSA exit separation objectives
  5. Provide thought leadership on emerging finance technologies, analytics, and automation opportunities.

Skills

Required

  • 8–10 years of progressive experience in IT, finance P2P systems roles, with increasing leadership responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a product owner or lead for finance and/or procure to pay applications.
  • Strong understanding of procure to pay processes such as invoice management, payment processing, and T&E.
  • Experience partnering with global business stakeholders and translating business needs into technology solutions.
  • Proven ability to manage complex initiatives across cross‑functional and geographically distributed teams.
  • Solid knowledge of application controls, data governance, and compliance requirements.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree or MBA
  • Experience planning, designing, transforming, and supporting SAP ERP and finance procurement platforms including SAP S/4, OpenTextVIM, Kyrbia, etc.
  • Background supporting procurement organizations in a global or matrixed environment.
  • Experience supporting business separation, transformation, or major system modernization initiatives including upgrade and/or migration to SAP S/4.
  • Demonstrated success driving standardization and simplification across global finance systems.
  • Experience with Celonis and/or Signavio is a plus
  • Experience building and leading teams with on and off shore resources.
  • Finance systems, product ownership, or project management certifications
