This role focuses on designing, building, and scaling enterprise voice and communications systems, specifically within a Microsoft Phone environment. It involves modernizing cloud-based platforms, automating operations, and ensuring high availability and performance of telecom services globally. The role requires expertise in traditional telecom operations, cloud migration, and real-time communication protocols.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and evolve a global Microsoft Phone environment using Direct Routing (virtual and physical SBCs) and Operator Connect, with an emphasis on scalability, resiliency, and operational efficiency.
  2. Drive modernization efforts, including migration from on‑prem PBX platforms (Cisco CUCM) to cloud‑native voice services.
  3. Partner with internal teams and carriers to build, deploy, and continuously improve telecom services across regions, ensuring high availability and performance.
  4. Drive end‑to‑end service delivery for enterprise voice—spanning architecture, implementation, operational support, and lifecycle management.
  5. Automate and standardize day‑to‑day operations such as number management, carrier workflows and monitoring.
