Territory Account Executive

Cloudflare is hiring a Territory Account Executive in Tokyo, Japan. This role focuses on expanding the customer base within the SMB and commercial segments, managing the end-to-end sales process, collaborating with partners, and articulating Cloudflare's value proposition. The role requires B2B sales experience in the IT industry, native-level Japanese fluency, and business-level English.

What you'd actually do

  1. Continuously generate new business opportunities through diligent follow-up on inbound leads and proactive outbound activities.
  2. Own the end-to-end sales process for small to mid-sized deals, from initial discovery and qualification to solution presentation, demoing, contract negotiation, and closing.
  3. Collaborate with distributors and channel partners (SIers/VARs) to maximize "sell-through" opportunities and extend Cloudflare’s market reach.
  4. Understand customers' business challenges and clearly articulate how Cloudflare’s platform (Security, Performance, and Reliability) provides effective solutions.
  5. Maintain disciplined management of your sales funnel and provide accurate revenue forecasts using tools like Salesforce.

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience in the IT industry, specifically within SaaS, networking, security, or cloud services
  • Native-level fluency in Japanese
  • Business-level English proficiency

Nice to have

  • Foundational knowledge of networking concepts such as DNS, HTTP, and SSL/TLS
  • Proficiency in sales productivity tools like Salesforce and G-Suite
  • Direct experience working with major Japanese distributors and resellers
