This is a Business Development Manager role for Amazon Web Services (AWS) focused on SMB accounts. The role involves promoting AWS adoption, developing strategic accounts, and influencing customer adoption of AWS services. While AWS offers AI services, this role is focused on sales and business development, not direct AI/ML model development or deployment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Exceed set business objectives. Develop and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan
  2. Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services. Influence (or impact) customer adoption
  3. Work with partners to extend reach & drive adoption. Possess the technical ability to explain (not implement) Cloud Computing, infrastructure solutions (Server, Storage, Networking, DC Services) & Internet architectures (firewalls, load balancers, etc) and Management Tools
  4. Develop case studies. Maintain an accurate forecast and various business reports
  5. Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts. Ensure customer satisfaction

What the JD emphasized

  • 4+ years of technology related sales, business development or equivalent experience
  • Experience with solution-selling methodologies, or experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
  • Experience analysing market opportunities, engaging and negotiating with customers, and defining new areas of innovation
  • Development and execution of a territory plan including outbound calling against established target lists. Forecast the territory performance per month against quota, cost optimize customers, and maintain a robust sales pipeline and related territory target lists in Salesforce.com
  • A strong command of English, Mandarin and Cantonese (spoken and written). Strong verbal and written communications skills.
