This role is a Territory Sales Manager for National General, a part of Allstate. The primary responsibility is to manage independent insurance agents within an assigned market to achieve new business production, direct written premium, and loss ratio goals. The role involves collaborating with various departments, developing agency pipelines, acting as a company liaison, creating strategic business plans with agents, promoting insurance products, and analyzing market trends and agency performance. The position requires strong knowledge of the independent agency channel and the ability to drive profitable growth.

What you'd actually do

  1. Collaborates with Product, Pricing, Operations to perform stakeholder (agency) and risk analysis on market related issues
  2. Develops and maintains the assigned market’s new agency appointment pipeline, supports National Accounts & Alternative Distribution Initiatives to implement corporate agreements at the local market level & coach new Territory Sales Managers
  3. Key company liaison within assigned market to both independent agencies and industry associations and must be field facing 4 days per week, driving key business initiatives, maintaining accurate records of these sales activities, client interactions, and follow-ups in CRM software
  4. Collaborates with Independent Agents to assist with creation of agency-specific short term and long-term strategic business plans, periodically reviews and suggests adjustments as necessary to achieve results
  5. Positions and promotes full suite of National General Insurance products into Independent Agency Partners to include, multiple personal auto products, homeowners, commercial vehicle, flood, and recreational vehicle & key focus on Specialty Vehicle & Household package coverages (based on state availability)
