Boeing is seeking a Test & Evaluation Laboratory Technician to plan, conduct, and document tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes. The role involves designing, fabricating, building, and analyzing test systems, materials, components, software, and methodologies. Responsibilities include coordinating test requirements, determining test methods, supporting instrumentation check-outs, conducting system test preparations, and performing post-test activities. The technician will also troubleshoot laboratory and test-related problems, analyze data, document results, and participate in test readiness reviews. Additionally, they will coordinate test laboratory activities and maintenance, and provide coaching and training to others.

What you'd actually do

  1. Plans, conducts and documents tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes and technologies
  2. Designs, fabricates, builds and analyzes test systems, materials, components, software and methodologies
  3. Coordinates test requirements, determines test methods and capabilities
  4. Supports IOE (Instrumentation Operations Engineer) in pre-test check-outs to ensure that required instrumentation is installed, configured, and operating properly
  5. Conducts system test preparations by coordinating system integration, fabrication, modification, setup, checkout and teardown
