Test Engineer

Caterpillar · Industrial · Beijing, China +1

Test Engineer responsible for testing, validation, and problem resolution of autonomous mining truck systems in test fields, covering single-vehicle testing, group testing, system integration, and regular operation verification. This role is critical for the system's safety, stability, and productivity, bridging the gap from 'operable' to 'mass-producible and operational'.

What you'd actually do

  1. Responsible for functional testing, system testing, and scenario testing of autonomous driving systems.
  2. Verify the performance of autonomous driving systems in complete operational processes such as Loading, Hauling, Dumping, Fueling, and Parking.
  3. Cover scenarios for manual/remote/automatic driving mode switching and exception handling.
  4. Design test scenarios based on actual mine conditions, including different slopes, curves, narrow roads, and meeting scenarios.
  5. Execute single-vehicle tests, multi-vehicle collaborative and mixed traffic tests, and evaluate system stability and efficiency.
