Anduril Industries is a defense technology company seeking a Test & Evaluation Engineer for their Imaging team. The role involves leading and participating in developmental testing of tactical imaging systems, integrating test processes, ensuring safe operations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of test engineering experience, a strong technical background, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with infrared or laser imaging systems and airborne systems is preferred. The role requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead and participate in developmental testing of tactical imaging systems, both ground and airborne based systems in a fast-paced test environment.
  2. Integrate Anduril’s Test and Evaluation process into the program and ensure adherence throughout the life of the program.
  3. Responsible for safe operation of all testing efforts in accordance with established operating procedures and practices
  4. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, hardware engineers, and product managers, to define test requirements and ensure alignment with system capabilities and mission objectives.
  5. Support the continuous improvement of test procedures, safety protocols, and documentation standards to uphold the integrity of all test operations.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field
  • 8+ years of test engineering experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to understand new concepts quickly and solve problems
  • Experience in a lab environment, working on both hardware and software products
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret-Level security clearance

Nice to have

  • Experience with infrared imaging systems
  • Experience with laser emitting systems
  • Direct experience in the development, testing, and deployment of airborne imaging systems in a defense or aerospace context
  • Proficiency in configuring, troubleshooting, and using test equipment
  • Knowledge of computer networks
  • Experience producing customer facing test deliverables
  • Experience as a test conductor, test director, or similar test position
  • Experience integrating prototype hardware onto aircraft
