Test Technician

The Test Technician role at Anduril Industries supports the research, development, and manufacturing of solid rocket motors by performing destructive and non-destructive testing of materials and rocket motors, conducting data reduction and analysis, and assisting in test planning. The role requires a degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience, proficiency in standard software, and strong communication and technical writing skills. Familiarity with National Instruments DAQ systems, LabVIEW, and various sensors is preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Assisting in the test planning process.
  2. Researching and implementing industry standards.
  3. Performing materials testing and solid rocket motor testing.
  4. Conducting data reduction and analysis.
  5. Providing status updates to leadership and customers.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent degree OR significant experience in data acquisition and sensor integration
  • 0-4 years of professional experience
  • Ability to learn and apply concepts quickly
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and programming
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Ability to work alone and in a team
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with National Instruments DAQ systems and LabVIEW
  • Experience with load cells, pressure transducers, strain gauges, thermocouples, etc.
  • Experience with solid rocket motors, hybrid rocket motors, or liquid rocket engines
  • Experience with handling of energetic or hazardous materials
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
