Test Technician Offline

This role involves operating as part of an off-line process team responsible for the fitment, rework, and testing of parts/products to Caterpillar's acceptance standards. The primary responsibilities include testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and overhauling components, accumulating and recording test data, calibrating and maintaining test stations, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality requirements. The role also involves contributing to daily production requirements and continuous improvement activities.

  1. Monitor the Off line Process and carry out Testing and Quality checks
  2. Fit parts to machinery and equipment
  3. Make Quality Control checks on products
  4. Contribute to Continuous Improvement activities

Skills

Required

  • Demonstrable ability of operating technical IT testing equipment
  • Operate to tight deadlines and cycle times
  • Demonstrable high level of assembly or mechanical aptitude and accuracy
  • Have a fully flexible approach to the job role & responsibilities (willing to work overtime)
  • Thorough working knowledge of the area and build experience of the workstations within which you will be working
  • The ability to read, comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions/procedures
  • Attention to detail, able to work with own initiative and self-motivated
  • You will possess effective communication skills to liaise with various levels of the organization
  • Willing to undertake required training/learning

Nice to have

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing assembly environment including test equipment
  • Technical degree OR electronic test and troubleshooting skills commensurate with a Technical degree with equivalent work experience
