This role is a Therapy and Business Development Consultant for Abiomed, a medical device company specializing in heart pumps. The primary focus is on establishing and driving the adoption of the Impella® heart pump platform as the standard of care in the Nordics through physician and hospital staff training, strategic account management, and clinical excellence. The role involves direct patient support, customer training programs, and collaboration with distribution partners.

What you'd actually do

  1. Therapy Development: This will be achieved through establishing our brand and through training MDs & hospital staff about the appropriate use of Impella ensuring excellent clinical outcomes.
  2. Account Management/ Account Training: Enable and drive our patient growth and clinical performance in key centres throughout the EMEA Region for all our indications (by priority).
  3. Patient Support: Improve patient outcomes constantly by implementing latest Abiomed clinical strategies, supporting clinical staff within the cathlab, OR and ICU.
  4. Distribution partners support: Establish strong relationships to our distribution partners in the EMEA Region.

Skills

Required

  • Cardiac Catheterization Lab
  • Interventional Cardiology
  • Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Nursing (cardiac specialization) or equivalent clinical background
  • Extensive experience in medical devices, preferably in interventional cardiology or cardiac surgery
  • 3+ years of direct patient support in a Cath Lab, ICU, or CCU required, preferably in MCS technologies
