This role is a Therapy & Business Development Consultant for Abiomed, a medical device company specializing in circulatory support. The primary focus is on establishing and promoting the Impella product portfolio as a standard of care in the Czech Republic, involving therapy development, account management, training of medical staff, and patient support. The role requires a strong background in cardiovascular medical devices and established relationships within the cardiology community.

What you'd actually do

  1. The main goal of the Therapy & Business Development Consultant is to establish Impella & Heart Recovery as new Standard of Care in Czech Republic.
  2. Leverage existing accounts for deeper and wider Impella Therapy penetration and build relationships with critical decision makers and KOL'S in the assigned area.
  3. Enable and drive our patient growth and clinical performance in key centers throughout the region for all our indications (by priority).
  4. Initiate and coordinate Abiomed customer training programs to develop/expand physician skills to drive the Impella adoption in active sites as well in new sites.
  5. Improve patient outcomes constantly by implementing latest Abiomed clinical strategies, supporting clinical staff within the Cath lab’s, OR’s and ICU’s.

What the JD emphasized

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in medical device with a long sting in cardiovascular space is a must
  • Proven track record of success, in launching high value therapies and achieving high growth rates.
  • Established relationships/network of Interventional Cardiologists and Cath Lab staff in Czech Republic
  • Ability to roll up the sleeves and support physicians and patients anytime.
  • Availability for emergent patient care required.
  • Ability to travel 80%+ within region required.
