This role supports the creation of research tactics, insights, and storylines surrounding sports programming and sports consumers by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data from primary and secondary sources using various software applications. The role involves generating data and reports, creating presentations for data visualization, and contributing sports knowledge during meetings. A Bachelor's degree, strong math and communication skills, and experience with Nielsen software are required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Collecting, analyzing and summarizing data from primary and secondary sources for daily and ad hoc reporting
  2. Using software applications (such as: Nielsen, NCL, Arianna, MRI, Star Media, etc.) to generate data and reports
  3. Creating presentations and other documents for data visualization
  4. Contributing sports knowledge and analytical expertise during department meetings and strategy sessions
  5. Additional tasks will be dependent on experience and strengths

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Ability to master new software and technology
  • Strong math skills
  • Solid writing and verbal communication skills
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to communicate data and analysis thru visual design and written communication
  • Experience with Nielsen software, including Nielsen Content Link

Nice to have

  • Industry work experience or a relevant internship
  • Knowledge of sports leagues, sports industry and sports landscape
  • Previous experience in Programming or Ad Sales Research
