This role supports the creation of research tactics, insights, and storylines surrounding sports programming and consumers by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data from various sources. It involves using industry-specific software for data generation and reporting, creating presentations, and contributing sports knowledge.

What you'd actually do

  1. Coordinating with Programming and the NY Research team to input program schedules and other critical information into the NCL database
  2. Collecting, analyzing and summarizing data from primary and secondary sources for daily and ad hoc reporting
  3. Using software applications (such as: Nielsen, NCL, Arianna, MRI, Star Media, etc.) to generate data and reports
  4. Creating presentations and other documents for data visualization
  5. Contributing sports knowledge and analytical expertise during department meetings and strategy sessions

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Nielsen software, including Nielsen Content Link
  • Strong math skills
  • Solid writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate data and analysis thru visual design and written communication

Nice to have

  • Industry work experience or a relevant internship
  • Ability to master new software and technology
  • Knowledge of sports leagues, sports industry and sports landscape
  • Previous experience in Programming or Ad Sales Research

What the JD emphasized

  • Experience with Nielsen software, including Nielsen Content Link, is a must
