Jane Street Jane Street · Quant · New York, NY · Software Engineering

Research internships in Tools and Compilers group focusing on improving OCaml, including type systems, optimizers, and toolchain enhancements. Projects involve applying state-of-the-art research to a production codebase.

What you'd actually do

  1. We are excited to announce research internships in our Tools and Compilers group.
  2. We work on many different aspects of the compiler, aiming to make it easier for developers to express their ideas in OCaml, to improve the performance of the generated code, and to make the OCaml compiler itself faster and easier to use.
  3. During the internship, you will work in collaboration with your mentors on one project for about 10-12 weeks.
  4. You'll try out new ideas and apply state-of-the-art research to a large actively-developed production codebase.
