What you'd actually do

  1. As part of the “Trio,” partner closely to ensure seamless communication and alignment while serving as the primary advisor to functional leaders on compensation and headcount planning, including guidance on pay programs and workforce investments.
  2. Participate in functional leadership meetings (staff, offsites, QBRs) as an embedded member of the Talent Leadership Trio
  3. Advise on compensation matters for hires, promotions, retention, reorganizations, and business transformations up to and including SVP, ensuring alignment to Unity’s philosophy and governance
  4. Interpret and apply job architecture, salary ranges, equity refresh frameworks, and recognition programs in a business-relevant way, leveraging centralized Compensation and Equity teams where deeper expertise is required
  5. Monitor market trends, pay practices, promotion velocity, and recognition patterns; surface risks and recommend course corrections to function and Total Rewards leadership

Skills

Required

  • Hands-on experience in compensation, rewards, or total rewards consulting, preferably in a technology or high-growth environment
  • Demonstrated ability to advise business leaders on compensation strategy, pay decisions, and market trends
  • Familiarity with market pricing, incentive/bonus plan administration, or equity programs; ability to learn and scale quickly into advanced areas as needed
  • Strong analytical, spreadsheets, and communication skills

Nice to have

  • experience with Workday, Pave, or similar systems preferred
