Tpu Design Engineer, Silicon

Google Google · Big Tech · Mountain View, CA +1

Develops custom silicon solutions for Google's direct-to-consumer products, focusing on hardware design, power analysis, and integration. The role involves working with simulation, emulation, and synthesis tools to ensure performance and efficiency, and collaborating with verification and validation teams. While the team combines AI, Software, and Hardware, the core of this role is hardware engineering for silicon design, not direct AI/ML model development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Use simulation/emulation/power analysis tools and techniques to ensure power and performance meet defined specifications.
  2. Develop, implement, and maintain design blocks or components/part of a hardware product, and integrate design blocks or components/parts to create product subsystems.
  3. Engage with Verification and Silicon Validation teams to ensure functionality of the design
  4. Provide input on synthesis, timing closure, and Physical Design of digital blocks
  5. Take a leadership role on technical project teams and set technical direction.
