This role involves maintaining flight simulators and associated training equipment, performing inspections, functional tests, troubleshooting, and assisting with repairs and modifications. It requires experience in flight simulation, hardware/software troubleshooting, and electronic/electrical systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform pre-operation and post-operation inspections of training devices, assemblies, and components.
  2. Conduct functional tests of simulator systems and monitor instrumentation and bench-mounted indicators.
  3. Assist with repair, installation, configuration, upgrades, and modification of simulators, training components, hardware, and software.
  4. Troubleshoot systems and support equipment to isolate faults and repair or replace faulty components.
  5. Support engineers in diagnostic and corrective actions.
