Training Site Technician

This role supports the delivery, operation, and technical readiness of training programs for Saronic's hardware, software, and autonomous systems. It involves setting up, configuring, and maintaining training equipment, providing on-site technical support during training events, and ensuring training materials align with current product baselines. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills and collaboration with engineering and operations teams.

What you'd actually do

  1. Set up, configure, and maintain training hardware, software, and diagnostic tools prior to training events.
  2. Provide on-site technical support for instructors and trainees during classroom, workshop, and hands-on training events.
  3. Ensure training materials, software builds, and hardware configurations align with live systems and current product baselines; communicate discrepancies to instructional teams.
  4. Collaborate with Engineering, Software, Mission Operations, and Product Delivery teams to understand product updates and technical nuances affecting training.
  5. Assist with training event setup and teardown logistics (classrooms, labs, training vessels, vehicles).

Skills

Required

  • Technical associate or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering Technology, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • Demonstrated experience supporting advanced technical systems in a hands-on environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with hardware, software, and networked systems.
  • Ability to read technical documentation, installation guides, diagrams, and product manuals.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable in dynamic training environments with rapid setup and change.

Nice to have

  • Experience in support of live training environments, mission operations, simulation labs, or field training.
  • Familiarity with autonomous systems, maritime systems, or complex hardware configurations.
  • Prior experience with LMS tools, AV support equipment, and training delivery support.
  • Experience with DoD, defense contractor, or regulated industry environments.
