This role is for a Maintenance Technician at a Chewy Fulfillment Center, responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing facility equipment and systems. It involves hands-on work with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, using a CMMS, and ensuring operational efficiency and safety.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform Maintenance and Repairs: Carry out maintenance, repair, housekeeping, plumbing, metal fabrication, and carpentry to support the high-speed operations of our fulfillment center.
  2. Ensure Equipment Functionality: Monitor and ensure that all fulfillment center equipment is running efficiently and that the work environment remains safe for all Team Members.
  3. Implement Maintenance Tasks: Complete scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance tasks throughout the facility efficiently and effectively.
  4. Inspect Systems: Conduct daily inspections of conveyor systems, shipping, and packing equipment areas to identify and address potential issues.
  5. Handle Equipment Accountability: Coordinate the maintenance and accountability of assigned equipment and gear, seeking for zero loss, damage, and defects.
