This role is for a Triton Maintenance Liaison Engineer at Northrop Grumman Australia. The engineer will act as the primary point of contact for engineering support requests, investigating and resolving defects, faults, and technical issues that impact aircraft maintenance and operations. The role involves providing practical engineering advice, building relationships with maintenance teams, and collaborating with US Navy support teams to troubleshoot complex issues and improve system maturity. The position requires Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain a NV1 AGSVA security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Act as the primary point of contact for engineering support requests (RES)
  2. Investigate and resolve defects, faults and technical issues, often within 24–48 hours
  3. Provide clear, practical engineering advice and dispositions that maintenance can act on
  4. Build strong relationships with Tindal-based maintenance teams and coordinators
  5. Work with US Navy support teams to troubleshoot complex issues and improve system maturity

Skills

Required

  • Experience in or alongside a maintenance organisation (Defence or civilian aviation)
  • Comfortable working with ambiguous information and time-critical requests
  • Able to turn technical problems into clear, practical actions
  • Understand how engineering, maintenance and operations connect
  • Motivated by work that has a direct impact on real-world operations
  • Australian Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 AGSVA security clearance
