This role is a front-line support position for French users experiencing trust and safety issues on the Whatnot platform. Responsibilities include de-escalating and educating customers, investigating complex cases, and serving as an escalation point for culturally nuanced issues. The role requires fluency in French and English, a customer-first attitude, and experience with customer-facing systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide inbound email support for our French users experiencing trust and safety issues
  2. De-escalate and educate customers through clear and accurate exchange of information that leads to a successful resolution and improved marketplace safety
  3. Thoughtfully investigate Trust & Risk cases with high complexity and high sensitivity while maintaining customer satisfaction
  4. Serve as the escalation point for issues requiring nuanced understanding of language and culture
  5. Work with other departments to research and resolve open questions

Skills

Required

  • Fluent in French and English

  • Experience with Customer facing systems like Zendesk, Kustomer, or Intercom

Nice to have

  • 4 year degree
  • Experience in Trust & Safety/Trust & Risk, customer service, user experience or fulfilment
  • Experience with social media, parcel delivery, marketplace sellers, vendors, or fraud operations
  • Understanding of Ecommerce and Marketplace operations
  • Knowledge of Collectibles
