This role focuses on maintaining the safety and integrity of the Whatnot platform by identifying potential risks, enforcing policies, and protecting the buyer and seller experience. The agent will conduct investigations, communicate with customers, and analyze trends to improve mitigation strategies. This is a customer-facing role within Trust & Safety operations.

What you'd actually do

  1. Regularly work with the team on reviewing potentially suspicious behavior on a daily basis to support the company in protecting good users and preventing financial losses
  2. Work quickly and thoroughly to meet interdepartmental Service Level Agreements (SLAs) while ensuring high quality work product
  3. Conduct in-depth transaction-level reviews
  4. Discover and identify trends to present opportunities for stronger results and mitigation
  5. Communicate with customers in response to inquiries related to trust and risk

Skills

Required

  • Fluent in English and native Japanese
  • 1 - 5 years of experience in Trust & Safety, customer service, fraud operations, user experience or fulfillment
  • Experience with Customer facing systems like Zendesk, Kustomer, or Intercom
  • Understanding of E-commerce and Marketplace operations

Nice to have

  • 4 year degree is a plus
  • Experience with social media, parcel delivery, marketplace sellers, vendors, payment processors and/or fraud operations
  • Knowledge of Collectibles is a plus
