Northrop Grumman is seeking Sensors and Systems Technicians to perform tasks involving testing, operating, troubleshooting, calibrating, constructing, repairing, and assembling a broad spectrum of technologies using manual and automatic equipment. The role involves collecting, recording, analyzing, and evaluating data, and recommending changes. Requires extensive knowledge of electronics principles and skill in fabrication and testing of complex components, assemblies, devices, circuits, and systems. Must be able to adapt to changing assignments and obtain a Secret clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. perform a variety of simple to complex tasks involving testing, operating, trouble-shooting calibrating, constructing, repairing and assembly over a broad spectrum of technologies, utilizing manual and automatic equipment
  2. Utilize and create repair techniques, assembly techniques and procedures
  3. collecting, recording, analyzing and evaluating data and recommending changes in processing operations and equipment as appropriate

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Graduate of a two year, full time electronic technology school OR six months military electronics school plus two years working in the maintenance and repair of electro-mechanical equipment
  • extensive knowledge of electronics principles
  • skill in fabrication and test of complex components, assemblies, devices, circuits and systems
  • adapt to changing assignments and requirements
  • meet 09 solder certification
  • pass pre-employment skills screening
  • obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
