This role is a UAT and Go-Live Manager for a core modernization program, specifically for the Alfa Receivables implementation within Ford Motor Credit Company. The manager will lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and go-live readiness, ensuring solutions meet business requirements and comply with financial regulations. Responsibilities include defining and executing UAT strategies, partnering with various teams (Business, Product, Engineering, Compliance, etc.), managing defects, ensuring environment readiness, providing status reporting, defining go-live criteria, leading cutover planning, and overseeing training readiness. The role requires experience in auto finance, highly regulated industries, Agile environments, and large-scale system modernization programs. Proficiency in test management tools like Azure DevOps or JIRA is expected.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead UAT strategy, planning, and execution, including scope, entry/exit criteria, and execution oversight
  2. Serve as the primary liaison across Business, Product, Engineering, Operations, Compliance, Training, and Change Management
  3. Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure acceptance criteria are testable and UAT‑ready in Agile delivery models
  4. Manage UAT defects, triage, and risk mitigation in alignment with enterprise testing governance
  5. Ensure UAT environment and test data readiness, including integrations and regulatory compliance

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 3+ years of UAT or QA experience with a strong focus on UAT
  • 3+ years of experience in auto finance or a closely related financial services environment
  • Experience in a highly regulated industry, with a basic understanding of regulatory requirements and data security protocols
  • Proven experience in Agile/Scrum environments, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and the Definition of Ready/Done
  • Experience supporting large-scale system modernization or transformation programs
  • Experience partnering with Training, Org Change Management, Compliance, and operational SMEs on training design, procedure readiness, and job aids
  • Experience supporting go-live readiness, cutover, and operational launch activities, including dress rehearsals, support model preparation, escalation paths, command center readiness, and hypercare
  • Experience facilitating cross-functional workshops and eliciting business requirements
  • Proficiency with test management tools such as Azure DevOps or JIRA/Xray for test case management, execution tracking, and defect management
  • Strong facilitation, documentation, and executive communication skills, with the ability to present risks, decisions, and readiness status clearly to leadership

Nice to have

  • Experience with Alfa Receivables or comparable loan/receivables platforms
  • Experience developing or supporting launch dashboards, RAID logs, milestone trackers, and readiness reporting
  • Exposure to change management activities and end-user adoption initiatives
  • Certifications such as ISTQB, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or SAFe Agilist
  • Experience with test automation concepts and tools, particularly as they relate to UAT
  • Basic understanding of API testing concepts and tools
