Uefi/bios Firmware Engineer

This role is for a Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) engineer on the AMD Datacenter Firmware team, focusing on the EPYC product line. The engineer will develop and deploy firmware solutions for server products, including advanced chiplet designs and optimized IO architectures, to ensure customers can leverage EPYC designs and deliver scalable, robust, high-quality server platform BIOS solutions. The role requires deep technical expertise in firmware development, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams, with a mandatory requirement for in-depth UEFI BIOS development experience and server BIOS architecture knowledge.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead Engineer responsible for designing, developing, debugging, verifying and/or validating firmware, software and/or hardware
  2. Lead day-to-day firmware development work
  3. Communicate the big picture perspective, overseeing the End to End firmware flow and component integration.
  4. In-depth UEFI BIOS development experience mandatory
  5. Design and develop platform BIOS based on the silicon and board features
  6. Work closely with silicon design, platform design, debug and validation to triage,debug and resolve system issues across the lifecycle of the product, aligned with the needs of our customers and internal teams
