This role focuses on business development and sales activities within UPS Capital to achieve profitable growth. It involves identifying customer needs, developing risk mitigation solutions, and maintaining account relationships. The position requires B2B sales experience and involves researching opportunities, building partnerships, conducting sales visits, and performing financial analysis.

What you'd actually do

  1. Researches and develops opportunities through lead database and prospecting.
  2. Builds partnerships with various sales resources (e.g., UPS, Supply Chain Solutions, UPS Freight, external customers, etc.) to improve network for providing sales leads.
  3. Conducts in person sales visits to prospective customers to present UPSC value proposition as it relates to their company and needs.
  4. Conducts due diligence (e.g., inventory audit, financial analysis, etc.) to verify the financial status of the company complies with UPSC business requirements (e.g., risk, profitability, etc.).
  5. Drives growth within existing customer base by increasing utilization and/or implementing additional UPSC products/solutions.

Skills

Required

  • B2B sales experience

Nice to have

  • P&C producer insurance license
  • Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent
  • familiarity with core service offerings across business units
  • deep familiarity with product, service, and customer facing technology offerings of at least one business unit
  • understanding of basic financial terminology and concepts
  • understanding of negotiation techniques
  • understanding of supply chain concepts
