US Demand Planning Analyst, Orthopedics

This role is for a Demand Planning Analyst in the Orthopedics division of Johnson & Johnson. The primary responsibilities include leading the US demand Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) or Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, managing demand planning activities, and ensuring forecast accuracy for assigned products. The role requires experience with inventory, planning, order management, ERP/MRP systems, and data visualization software.

What you'd actually do

  1. Chair US Demand S&OP/IBP Meetings and other applicable forums.
  2. Lead demand planning activities for assigned products by ensuring excellent integrity of both demand and forecast data.
  3. Manage assigned implant/instrument forecasts in a high SKU environment using statistical software and new product modeling.
  4. Responsible for achieving forecast accuracy targets (MAPE & BIAS) and driving continuous improvements in this area.
  5. Review statistical forecast generated and provide input on changes that may be required. Collaborate with functions such as Sales, Marketing, Commercial Operations, and Finance to identify and incorporate market intelligence (events) into the demand forecast as aligned.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 4 years of related professional experience
  • Hands-on working experience with inventory, planning, order management, ERP or MRP systems, financial processes
  • Ability to set clear priorities, timely decision making, strategic planning, good judgment, influencing, and basic project management skills
  • Understanding of distribution links within the supply chain
  • Proficient in MS Office programs: Excel, PowerPoint, Word

Nice to have

  • MBA
  • Experience in medical device, consumer, or pharmaceutical industries
  • Supply chain certification (APICS/IBF/Six Sigma)
  • S&OP/IBP experience
  • General business knowledge or US & international markets
  • Proficient in advanced analytics and data visualization software design and usage (ex. Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik)
