US Equity Research - Life Science Tools & Diagnostics - Vice President

This role is for a Vice President in Equity Research focused on Life Sciences Tools and Diagnostics. The responsibilities include becoming an industry expert, conducting in-depth industry and company analysis, financial modeling, valuation, writing research notes, and client communication. The role requires strong financial and analytical skills, experience in equity research or investment banking, and FINRA licenses.

What you'd actually do

  1. Build and maintain Excel-based models to forecast company financials and project industry dynamics
  2. Perform detailed valuation work to support stock recommendations
  3. Analyze complex data sets, news releases, regulatory filings, and industry events to shape your view of the industry and companies under coverage
  4. Write research notes on covered companies and sector reports and prepare presentations
  5. Build relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external clients, industry experts, and management teams

Skills

Required

  • FINRA licenses Series 86 and Series 87
  • Two to three years of experience in equity research and/or investment banking
  • Strong accounting, finance, quantitative and business communication skills
  • Modelling, forecasting, and valuation experience
  • Advanced level of proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to multi-task and collaborate within a team environment as well as work independently
  • High level of organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment

Nice to have

  • CFA charterholder or progress towards CFA
  • Some coding capabilities – e.g., VBA, Python
