The Tax Operations Specialist partners with the Payroll Operations team to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processes for customers. This role requires specialized expertise in payroll tax regulations, including local, regional, and country-specific requirements. The Tax Operations Specialist will play a key role in addressing tax-related complexities, supporting compliance, and maintaining operational accuracy.

What you'd actually do

  1. Collaborate with the Payroll Operations team to deliver accurate and compliant payroll tax processes.
  2. Ensure compliance with local, regional, and country-specific payroll tax regulations, staying updated on changes and implementing necessary adjustments.
  3. Assist with payroll tax filings, reconciliations, and calculations to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  4. Respond to payroll tax-related inquiries from internal teams, customers, and tax authorities.
  5. Support the resolution of payroll tax discrepancies, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure accurate outcomes.

Skills

Required

  • 2–4 years of experience in payroll tax, payroll operations, or a related field.
  • PEO experience
  • MasterTax experience
  • Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations, compliance requirements, and filing processes.
  • Experience navigating local, regional, and country-specific payroll tax requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems and tax calculation tools.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
