The US Regional Director of Medical Affairs for Gynecologic Malignancies at Merck is responsible for developing and executing regional medical affairs strategies and plans for ovarian, endometrial, and cervical cancers in the US. This role involves providing scientific and medical expertise, creating and delivering training, coordinating with scientific leaders and patient advocacy groups, and tracking the regulatory landscape. The position requires an advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) and at least five years of experience in oncology medical affairs within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develops and executes US Medical Affairs strategy for Gynecologic malignancies
  2. Drives creation and facilitation of training materials for the Oncology Medical Affairs team through the appropriate review systems and serves as the medical approver of these materials
  3. Designs, updates and gives training both internally and externally in collaboration with the global scientific training and content teams
  4. Coordinates, presents at and leads Advisory Boards and other meetings with US Scientific Leaders
  5. Engages in scientific exchange with Scientific Leaders to obtain input on disease landscape, current data, and evidence gaps
