What you'd actually do

  1. Liaise as a subject matter expert for product-related initiatives and collaborate with functional areas.
  2. Supervise and review third-party service providers to ensure deliverables are complete, accurate, and timely.
  3. Review tax provisions, tax returns, and forms prepared by third-party providers.
  4. Identify tax issues for investments and strategies, perform tax research, and implement practical solutions.
  5. Support U.S. mutual funds investing in partnerships and other team deliverables.

Skills

Required

  • At least 6 years of experience in US RIC ( MFs/ETFs ) taxation and investment partnership taxation.
  • Chartered Accountant or CPA qualification
  • Strong partnership tax technical knowledge, including allocations, PTP status, UBTI/ECI, and trader vs. investor distinctions.
  • Experience with IRS qualification tests and tax accounting for loans and alternative assets.
  • Supervise tax teams and manage third-party providers effectively.
  • Conduct advanced tax research and documentation, including RIC income/excise taxation and ICI shareholder reporting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel) and automation tools such as Alteryx, Xceptor, or Python.

  • Global tax/reporting knowledge, including NRA withholding, FATCA, and CRS.
  • C-corporation taxation.
  • Operating effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
