This role is for a Manager, Strategic Account Management focused on helping small and medium-sized sellers grow on Walmart Marketplace. The responsibilities include managing a seller portfolio, executing growth strategies, monitoring performance metrics, driving adoption of marketplace programs, and collaborating with internal teams. The role requires experience in e-commerce, marketplace, or account management, strong analytical and communication skills, and a focus on execution in a fast-paced environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage a portfolio of small to medium-sized sellers, prioritizing opportunities based on business impact and growth potential.
  2. Execute standardized growth playbooks to drive improvements in assortment, pricing, inventory, and conversion.
  3. Monitor seller performance across key metrics (GMV, conversion, in-stock rate, fulfillment performance) and identify opportunities for improvement.
  4. Support catalog optimization efforts, including content quality, imagery, attributes, and discoverability.
  5. Drive adoption of Marketplace programs and services (e.g., fulfillment solutions, promotions, marketing tools) to support seller growth.

Skills

Required

  • 3–5 years of experience in e-commerce, marketplace, account management, or merchandising
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using Excel/Sheets and BI tools to track and interpret performance metrics
  • Solid understanding of e-commerce fundamentals, including assortment, pricing, content quality, and conversion drivers
  • Operational knowledge of inventory, fulfillment, and seller performance metrics
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence sellers effectively
  • Highly organized, proactive, and execution-focused with strong attention to detail

Nice to have

  • Experience working with small or medium-sized businesses in a marketplace or e-commerce environment
  • Familiarity with marketplace tools and seller platforms (e.g., catalog management, fulfillment, promotions)
  • Experience driving adoption of programs or tools at scale
  • Exposure to multi-category environments is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, information technology, business, marketing and sales, healthcare, or related area
  • Experience in business management, marketing and sales, healthcare, omni channel merchandising, or related area
