This role focuses on maintaining sanitation and Clean In Place (CIP) systems in a manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, internal audits, and government regulations like FSMA and GMP. Responsibilities include conducting sanitation activities, managing supplies, performing routine maintenance, collaborating with FSQA and chemical contractors, and adhering to safety procedures.

What you'd actually do

  1. Monitors Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), Clean In Place (CIP) systems, and Pest Control programs by working closely with the Sanitation Manager to ensure compliance.
  2. Assists with internal audits, pathogen swabbing root cause, and corrective and preventive action.
  3. Conducts and documents assigned sanitation activities to ensure the facility and equipment are maintained properly.
  4. Maintains facilities in accordance with government food safety and quality standards (for example, CHS and Good Manufacturing Practices) by conducting validation testing and product evaluations.
  5. Adheres to all safety procedures and guidelines, including using personal protective equipment, operating machinery and equipment safely, reporting any hazards, near misses, injuries or accidents immediately, and actively participating in safety trainings and drills.
