What you'd actually do

  1. Gather requirements to design and plan software solutions
  2. Designs and implements software solutions by writing code in a matter consistent with the company’s coding standards and guidelines.
  3. Responsible for testing code to ensure that it is performing as expected in regard to correctness and performance.
  4. Manages programming tasks and ensures they are worked on in priority order as determined by their manager.
  5. Keeps track of bugs in the code and provides fixes in a timely manner.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA, BS, or MS in Computer Science) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of development experience.
  • Expert experience with .NET and C# .
  • Expert ability to troubleshoot, debug, and performance tune software code.
  • Demonstratable experience building and supporting reliable, always on backend services.
  • Experience building solutions using AWS and Terraform.
  • Experience with docker containers and container orchestration systems.
  • Experience with scalable distributed systems.
  • Experience working with databases (Postgres, Redis, MySQL, Mongo).
  • Experience with Angular or other comparable modern frontend tools.
  • Excellent communications skills: must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and able to adapt to the level and nature of their audience.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a careful approach to handling issues.
  • Ability and desire to learn new technologies.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year's experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices
